태아 심장박동(Fetal heart rate; FHR)
20분동안 아무 자극 없이 다음 세 가지를 측정하는 검사

산모 자궁 수축
태동(fetal movement)
fetal cardiotocography (CTG)의 초음파 도플러를 이용해 태아의 심박을 측정하고, 산모의 복부에 압력센서를 부착해 자궁의 수축을 측정

FHR은 대부분 26~28주 이후에 측정이 가능하여 제3삼분기에 검사하는 것이 원칙
→ 32~34주부터 1주일마다 시행
→ 태아사망의 고위험군은 26주부터 1주일에 2회 시행
반응성(reactive)
태동이 있으며
15 bpm 이상의 심박이 15초 이상 지속되는 현상 (Acceleration)이 20분 내 2회 이상 관찰
